Red Dead Redemption

Red Dead Redemption, originally uploaded by Maurits Burgers.
So I bought this game for my PS3, and now I'm hooked.

Set in the wild west borderlands where New Austin and Mexico meet a story enfolds.
And it's a good story with many threads on several levels.
The characters and storytelling cut scenes are strong.
The level of historic detail is truly unseen and the lightning and sunsets phenomenal.
Hollywood eat your heart out.

The game almost isn't a game in fact it's an experience.

Appreciating that most flickr visitors are not in to video games all that much I'd like to explain.

This is a game in which you can move around in a 3d world.
On foot, horseback, train or carriage.
You can pick flowers, save damsels in distress, hunt for game
or go and kill outlaws for example or just anybody,
 but not without repentance.

The environment is not only pretty visually realistic,
it really behaves with the rules of physics.
And its VAST!
There are multiple story lines and the behaviour of the player forms the narrative.
 It's quite someting.
After over 10 hours of playtime I have only discovered 10% of the personal Single Player part of the game.
