A great series of chains of English word-sense ambiguities.
A stunning film from Will Hoffman and Daniel Mercadante to accompany Radiolab's Words episode. With an original score by Keith Kenniff.
Can anyone list all the words alluded to?

play - blow - break - run - fly - fall - light
ReplyDeleteBetween BREAK and RUN I also see SPLIT. End after LIGHT comes SPACE, I think.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure but great dare to try though Sytske.
1 play, 2 blow, 3 break, 4 split, 5 run, 6 fly, 7 fall, 8 light, 9 space
ReplyDeleteThanks Peter for catching up here, much appreciated.
ReplyDeleteReviewing my mind was struck by a subtlety; between run and fly there is a boy running away, and then a runway seen from the air. A most subtle way to move to fly.
The whole ambiguity word change is a great concept that indeed could be done in Dutch as well.
That is inspiring...
Great Find! This is a very clever video!
ReplyDeleteIt certainly is Shawn. I can imagine this can be done in any language and even foreign ones would make a sensible chain of concepts.
ReplyDeleteNice to see you around Mr Canada ;-)
I hope things are fine. Saw your biceps...
