The Smells of the Sea

Every savory plate we checked
Sliced aquatic straight from the ocean
Aged to perfection
All chefs know how to prepare
And to skin
I like little rings and tentacles
It is wonderful to have them in the shell
Just in case there are impurities
Or sand
Just a touch of cream and lemon
Just a teaspoon
Smithereens of flavor
That’s cooked
Coming up to the boil and off
I now know it extends to the dish
Texture is good and quite delicious
Things that smell like the sea
Flavored with Champagne
